Activities

Activities in the area are plentiful with beautiful walks and mountain trials. There is mountain biking, white water rafting, paragliding, riding, swimming, tennis and water skiing on Lake Geneva which is only 25 minutes from the chalet.

A picnic setting beside a stream surrounded by wild flowers is just one of the delights in store for you. On Bastille Day there is a magnificent firework display in the village and the following evening in Chatel. There is a market in La Chapelle village on a Friday and a Féte in July. Each village holds a féte with entertainment during the day and dancing and dining in the evening.

There is a swimming pool in Chatel, 2 miles away and just 20 minutes drive away is the Val D'Illiez thermal springs. Evian, a lovely old town on the edge of the lake surrounded by trees and lawns is also only 40 minutes drive away. Here you can sunbathe or swim in the lake and it is well worth a visit to where Evian Water originates. Here there are some excellent cafés and restaurants on the lakeside.

There is also a visit available to Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe.
