The Resort

La Chapelle, a popular Alpine village in the Haute Savoie, is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski domain - the largest international linked ski area in the world with over 650 km of pistes in both France and Switzerland, and a superb snow record.
It is a Franco-Swiss traditional village famous for its gastronomique restaurants and the local people are very friendly and hospitable.
There are stylish shops in the village centre including ski shops. There is also a pharmacist, banking facilities and a ski school.
The 6 person gondola from La Chapelle takes you up to Portes du Soleil which lies north of Mont Blanc. The area covers 7 valleys with 220 lifts that are well linked and spread over the French Alps.
